Are you feeling clucky?  I know I am!  Especially after this super fun chicken themed storytime.

My storytime highlights from today include: getting to re-live my days from HS Jazz Swing choir as I scatted my way through Cock-A-Doodle-Do Le Doo-Bop!, singing "If You're a Chicken and You Know It", and shaking some shaky eggs to Laurie Berkner's fabulous song "I Know a Chicken."

And, now, a chicken joke:
Which side of a chicken has more feathers?
The outside (ba-dum-tchhhhh)

Flannel: Hens of a Different Color
from Departmental Flannel Library

This little hen is red. She is very tired and won’t get out of bed.
This little hen is brown. She is feeling glad and wearing a crown.
This little hen is yellow.  She really likes to eat Jell-O.
This little hen is white.  She dances and plays, oh what a sight.
This little hen is purple.  She spends her day running around in circles.
This little hen is green.  She is the silliest hen I have ever seen.
This little hen is pink.  She does down to the pond to get a drink.
All of these hens live at the farm right inside of the big red barn.
